BMDP 2009 software description
BMDP is an outstanding package with numerous statistical routines from simple data description to advanced multivariate analysis. BMDP programs excel in data screening features helpful for checking assumptions necessary for a valid analysis. They also have procedures to study the impact of outliers, skewed distributions, unequal variances, etc. BMDP's new high resolution graphics facilitate the screening process as well as being useful for communicating final results.
No matter whether analyses are carried out by the researcher, the project's statistician, or the support staff, BMDP makes the effort easier. Menus and dialog boxes enhance ease of use. Default options have been chosen so you need to specify only a little information. As you select menu items, BMDP generates easy-to-read English commands that can be used and/or modified at a later time. View our short BMDP PowerPoint presentation showing how to easy it is to use BMDP.

BMDP provides in-depth functionality for all the major statistical analyses; such as ANOVA, Regression, Nonparametric Analysis, Times Series, etc. In addition, BMDP is particularly highly-rated for the quality and extent of its Survival Analysis Modules, programs 1L & 2L (see detailed example), as well as for the statistical advances made with programs such as 5V (Unbalanced Repeated Measures Models with Structured Covariance matrices, LE (Maximum Likelihood Estimation) and PR (Polychotomous Logistic Regression).
Many of the world's leading statisticians have been involved in product development at BMDP over many years and have played key roles in ensuring that BMDP provides quality statistical functionality to researchers worldwide. Today, BMDP continues to set the standard.
