Psychmate software description
PsychMate, by PST, is an educational tool for undergraduate psychology instruction. PsychMate is designed to provide a means for exposing students to classic and current experiments in psychology, as well as teaching students about research methods and data collection. PsychMate is a client-server application using the Internet for data submission and retrieval.
Retrieve data files from the server then with a single click, instructors can analyze single subject or group data files, using the many pre-specified data analyses. Save hours of prep time! Use PsychMate to automatically analyze students data and generate your class materials for each lesson in printed, PowerPoint, or HTML format.
Students participate in real experiments, not simple demonstrations or simulations! PsychMate enables students to take part in 30 classic and current psychology experiments, and see immediate plots and tables of their real data. The student software includes an experiment launcher to allow students to quickly and easily launch the experiments they wish to run. Data submission occurs automatically when connected to the Internet or students may use the Student Organizer to run offline and submit at a later time.

1. Student Guide with Activation Code
- Includes PsychMate software CD and Student Activation Code
- Permits student to use PsychMate in a single class. Ideal for students or departments using PsychMate in only one class, or for students not intending to major in Psychology.
- Useable for 1 year or up to 5 courses (whichever comes first).
2. Student Activation Code Only
- Does NOT include PsychMate Student Guide or software CD
- Permits student to use PsychMate in a single class with or without previous purchase of the PsychMate Student Guide. Ideal for students who have previously purchased the Student Guide.
- Useable for 1 year of up to 5 courses (whichever comes first).
3. Site License
- Software only purchase.
- Number ordered sets the maximum number of active accounts* available during the license period.
- Each account may use the software for 1 year.
- Books must be purchased separately.
- Site licenses ship with Instructor's Kit (including Student and Instructor Text, Student and Instructor software), and two copies of the Student Manual.
- Sold only to institutions/departments.
4. 4-Year Activation Code Upgrade
- Does NOT include PsychMate Student Guide or software CD
- Permits student to use PsychMate in multiple classes for multiple years. Ideal for students intending to major in Psychology.
- Usable for 4 years, up to 5 courses per year.
- May be purchased only as an extension of an existing license (previous activation code required).
5. Student Guide Only
- Permits departments or instructors to purchase books to distribute or loan to students. Ideal for departments wishing to keep the cost to students low. Students also have the option to purchase just a single book if the department or instructor opts to purchase the activation codes. Note, PsychMate may not be used without a Student Activation code.
6. Instructor Kit
- Includes Instructor Text and software and Student Text and software
- Free of charge
- One instructor's kit will be shipped directly to the bookstore with your order of students manuals, free of charge.
